Evangelist Delores Thompson was born in St. Catherine, Jamaica to the late Bishop Benjamin Collins and Beatrice Collins. She accepted the Lord at an early age at the Foursquare Church of God in Paul Mountain, St. Catherine. Delores migrated to the United Kingdom (England) and became a member of the Triumphant Church of God. While working in the Sunday School and Youth Departments, Delores was ordained an Evangelist. Evangelist Thompson has been an exemplary woman of God in serving the Body of Christ and bringing souls to Christ. In 1967, Delores was joined in holy matrimony to Bishop John Thompson and they have been married for forty-seven years.

In 1981, she migrated to the United States with her family and began worshipping at the Triumphant Church of God under the leadership of the late Bishop Burris. In 1987, Evangelist Thompson and her husband received permission to begin a new work, which they started at Gates Avenue, called Triumphant Church of God. This would eventually become known as Triumphant Bible Church of God.

In 1994, Evangelist Thompson along with her husband, spearheaded the purchase of 916 Pacific Street which would eventually lead to their current home at 4013 Church Avenue in 2005. In March 2014, after much praying and fasting for over a year, being led by the Lord, Bishop and Evangelist Thompson agreed to merge Triumphant Bible Church of God with Bishop Dr. David McDonald and First Community Church of God. On September 28th, 2014 Evangelist Thompson was elevated to the office of Elder and on October 18th, 2014 she witnessed firsthand the engrafting of two ministries into one called First Community Triumphant Cathedral. Today she will tell you, “We are very happy with our decision.” In every way FCT Cathedral is growing to the glory of God!

Elder Thompson has completed her certification in Associate Bible Studies in Christian Education, Masters in Evangelism and Doctor of Theology Religion from Bible Christian College & Seminary. Her union to Bishop John Thompson has produced two daughters; Denise and Marcia; son-in-laws, Terrence and Andre; and six grandchildren: Dave-Anthony, Aaron, Quincy, Rachel, Jordan, and Mark-Anthony.
